MTV’s ‘The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars’ Returns — Meet the Cast and Watch the First Promo

The Challenge universe is expanding once again! The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars is returning for another season and Us Weekly can exclusively announce the cast. This season, 10 fan-favorite champions from past seasons of The Challenge will compete against the “stars” team, which for the first time, consists of both celebs and athletes. The winner will take home a share of $150,000 to donate to their charities.

Here’s how the format works this season: The winning team of each challenge will nominate an MVP, who will receive money for their charity and be safe for the week. The MVP will then choose the LVP (least valuable player) to go straight into elimination. The losing team will also nominate an LVP to go into elimination.

Amazon’s move into unscripted continues and it has bought socially conscious model competition format “The Fashion Hero.”

Amazon’s move into unscripted continues with the addition of socially conscious model competition format “The Fashion Hero” for Prime Video in the U.S., U.K., and Germany.

The one-hour format, which sets out to find models of different shapes and sizes, is fronted by Hulk Hogan’s daughter Brooke, who has struggled with body image issues. She oversees the competition as the would-be models are judged by a panel of designers and compete to be the face of a marketing campaign for their fashion brands.

The best thing to be said about new Netflix show GLOW’s mainstream credentials is that you don’t have to be even remotely interested in wrestling to enjoy it. You don’t have to know the terminology, or be invested in kayfabe or even to particularly care about the business. It’s about pure entertainment – a sitcom with a definitely flavour mixing Orange Is The New Black with Dodgeball.

The wrestling is almost incidental to the character stories and the comedy. But, that isn’t to say it doesn’t bother with that side of the show at all. In fact, it’s a carefully crafted love letter to the industry – or at least to the imagination and personalities behind some of the industry’s most notorious… silliness.
